Toni Matychak, Hair Stylist & Nail Artist
Toni has worked in the beauty industry for 12 years, graduating from Selkirk Comprehensive and completing cosmetology in 2005.
She worked as an assistant in a salon while in school to gain hours towards her apprenticeship; which she completed in 2006 and received her Red Seal in Hairstyling. She continued to work in the Selkirk area for a number of years before taking a break to raise her son.
In 2013, she enrolled in the Nail Technology course in Winnipeg. Having prior experience working in salons and spas with other estheticians, provided her with the knowledge to excel in school. Maintaining above 90% average throughout her course and exams, Toni was granted supervision exemption which allowed her to self-apprentice after school. She provided hair and nail services in Beausejour for a few years and built a fantastic clientele. She took another short break to have her daughter before joining the Platinum team after the expansion.
Toni looks forward to offering Beausejour with the same level of quality and knowledge for years to come! You can see Toni’s work on Instagram: @theriseoftoni
Meagan McDermd, Esthetician
Meagan began her esthetics career in 2008 after completing her studies in Winnipeg where she was trained on Dermalogica and even dabbled into reflexology. She completed her two year apprenteship at a fast-paced salon in Winnipeg, and later moved on to a day spa; A place where she could focus more on her love for esthetics in a setting where her clients could be much more relaxed and pampered. She advanced her skill set and product knowledge from continuous Dermalogica classes, to Microdermabrasion. She quickly moved up her position to become manager. In the summer of 2015, Meagan welcomed her son into this world and started her next journey as a mom; while continuing to work on weekends to keep up with her amazing clientele. In September of 2016 she decided it was time for something new and exciting and that is when she joined the Platinum Esthetics team, where she continues to grow. As you get to know her you’ll find that she is very mindful and focuses on providing the best care for her clients, and truly enjoys building relationships and getting to know you. Meagan is kind, a loving mother and wife who enjoys healthy eating and a good glass of wine. When not at work she likes to spend her time at the family cabin, gardening or taking her son out on adventures.

Jenny Coninec, Registered Massage Therapist
I have been a practicing registered massage therapist since graduating from the Massage Therapy College of Manitoba in 2012. I have thus far maintained a well rounded knowledge base which I am continually building on. My interest and fascination leans toward the shoulder girdle with its wide range of motion, susceptibility to injury and it’s capability to be restored. Whether an injury related to sports or otherwise, chronic pain, headaches or quite honestly you just need to “check out”, I believe massage therapy to be a beneficial integration to an overall wellness regime. I believe in the importance of compassion to each person’s unique concern.
